Trouble is, shite or not (mostly so), who the heck would be mad enough to take the dross we obtained in the summer, off our hands?
Martin O Neill is not at Villa anymore!

To buy, we have to sell because porno dwarf and papa Noel aren't looking to give the team any decent presents...

I really thought we were going to lose that by half time and sad to say if we did lose I would have preferred a tonking. (which it could have been) just so these fucking dozey cunts that run our football club would get rid of bilic and bring in someone with more experience at least for the rest ofthis season
Of course they won't tho. Then they would have to pay him off and back any new guy with a transfer fund and we know they are tight cunts. So we lumber on with bilic and some loan deals in Jan.

Hope we can pick up some better form at home but I've seen absolutely no indication of it yet.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
Hard to not laugh yesterday. We had a lot of stuff go against us last season so it was nice to be on the receiving end of some luck this time. And bugger me, we overdosed on it yesterday.

The weaknesses that most fans have identified were all on show yet again.

No right back is a root cause. The second issue that remains since I can remember is a midfield unit that cannot press and cannot deal with being closed down. Causes errors , nervous passing, unforced errors as there are simply so few passing options. They all pass to Payet even when he is not the best option. He still creates the best chances but also due to lack of options is trying too much at times. Payet and Lanzini provide little or no defensive cover or work rate and IMHO cannot be in the same midfield at the moment.

Noble is too slow in this midfield. We cry out for a Dembele (spit), Nzonzi, Kante type who will cover every blade of grass but is also technically sound alongside Obiang.

Kouyate's runs of last season have been missed but he has to play where he is at the moment due to lack of squad depth/quality and he has been our insurance at the back as he is one of the few that has pace there too.

In a back 3 we need a ball playing centre back. I pray Oxford emerges sooner than later in that role. Reid and Oggy have 50 pence shaped boots.

Carroll worked very hard but with poor service and support. No one gets forward to get his knock-ons and headers.

It seemed to me that we could not cope with a second game in 4 days and 3 in a week in terms of fitness and stamina too? Hull have a smaller squad but were working much harder and were fitter by far. Thankfully their lack of quality and sheer luck in the extreme saved us from a mauling.

Last question.... was Obiang injured? Why on earth was he substituted otherwise?

Ayew is another peripheral player and a complete waste of money based on what I have seen so far. Fernandes you can see his inexperience at times but did well overall but is not yet strong enough to provide enough defensive work. He gets knocked off the ball a little too easily but that will improve as he gets older.

We have 9 days off now dont we? Much needed as the team looked dead on their feet from the moment we kicked off.

The rumour has it that transfer business will only be for "necessary" cover for AFCON etc. Owners need to wake up. We have serious gaping holes in the squad. I understand its very hard to get quality in the January window but Sullivan needs to understand it can be got if you overpay. He wont so we will continue to struggle but hopefully have enough to stay up. Season is written off for me other than survival.

Bilic subs .... I'm still gobsmacked. He will claim that they got us the points. Second half they hit the post twice and missed 2 sitters. We got worse after the subs IMO.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
How we won that good only knows.

a 4-1 defeat would have been a fair reflection on the game.

Like Bilic but this system is a shambles. A back 3 to cover up for the fact we don't have a right back.

Anyone know who was meant to be right back in the second half? The players certainly didn't.. Carrol was there most of the time.

We won't go down but the decline in form and performances is staggering. All started since the 4-1 defeat to Swansea last year.

Amazingly Cheik got man of match. Made some good tackles but his positioning was all over the place

Correct Stoneman
Everyone is talking about Huddlestons hand but they did not notice it was his foot taking Antonio out on the ankle. Thats why he went down so quick, he was making the turn and his weight was on that foot.

I thought we started off pretty well, and moved the ball around nicely.

Even created some decent chances.

Fair to say we went off the boil a little bit and just squeaked it.

Why feel sorry for them? They got a penalty last week from a blatant dive.

Call it karma

Just watched MOTD. If you look again at the close up on Huddlestone for the penalty I'm pretty sure that he pinches Antonio's thigh as he went to make the shot.

Correct decision IMO.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
The only important thing is that we have six points from the last two games. That is massive.

I hope we can start to put some decent performances together now though. I can't think of any game where we actually played well this season except maybe the Chelsea cup match.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
We have been blessed with luck this week and got 6 points that are crucial, but make no mistakes we were lucky today and could easily have been 3 or 4 down before getting the softest penalty we will get all season(greatfully taken)
Our defence is getting ripped apart and had we been playing a team with a quality finisher it would have been another arsenal type defeat.

Felt bit sorry for Hull. Then I remembered hull away in 2013. We lost 1-0 to a penalty and was absolutely robbed in that game. Their fanbase made it even worse!

Fuck em IRONS.

grasshopper 11:55 Sat Dec 17
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
actually stoneman there is a transfer window coming up so how about we actually use that to get rid of the dead wood and bring in some players who actually give a shit? unless you want to play in the championship next year. We also have players like Burke who don't get a look in who should be ahead of clowns like ogbonna.

Jimbo, very difficult to be optimistic when you see that we struggle to beat the likes of burnley and hull. The only positive is we managed to win by some miracle

stoneman 11:41 Sat Dec 17
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Hull - The Official Match Thread
So grasshoppers team for the next game is -

Obiang
Antonio

Manager - ?

I reckon even with those 2 we would struggle.

You need 11 players grasshopper so can you fill in the blanks.
